Single family listings tend to find their buyer, so when a house lines up with what you want, treat it as a decision to make rather than one to sit on. Condos give you more selection and more room to deliberate: you can see several, go back a second time, and compare them against each other before you commit. Knowing which side you are on tells you how to pace the search.

What you plant, park, extend or rebuild answers to the county rather than to a board of neighbours, and that is the real difference: the roof, the landscaping and the driveway are yours to schedule and yours to pay for, on your timetable.
